The expert panel members have reviewed the composition, toxicology, safety, and clinical studies on MMuno-IgYTM. The experts unanimously concur that Muno-IgYTM produced by IGY Life Sciences is safe within the terms of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and is also Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) according to Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR). “Making a GRAS determination requires a thorough evaluation by an independent panel of international food safety experts, examining all available evidence to confirm the safety of Muno-IgYTM for its intended use in nutraceutical applications,” stated Dr. Navneet Sharma, Chief of Quality and Regulatory Compliance at IGY Immune Technologies & Life Sciences Inc. “Achieving Self-Affirmed GRAS status also verifies the regulatory compliance and quality of Muno-IgYTM, and reaching this milestone is a significant achievement for us.” Immunoglobulin Y (IgY) represents a significant advancement in the nutraceutical field, targeting the gut microbiome. IgY’s mechanism of action, including its ability to inhibit microbial adhesion to cell surfaces, suppress viral adhesion, induce bacterial agglutination, and neutralize toxins underscores its potential as a versatile and effective agent in managing unwanted pathogens.
