Huan Nguyen, PhD

Dr. Huan Nguyen is an accomplished immunologist with over 25 years of experience in antiviral and cancer immunology research. He obtained his PhD in Immunology. Dr. Nguyen began his career as a faculty member at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he established a research program on mechanisms of heterosubtypic immunity against influenza viruses.
He went on to serve as Head of the Viral Immunology Laboratory at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, South Korea. During this time, Dr. Nguyen secured funding from major agencies including the NIH, NRF, Gates Foundation, and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals to support his influenza vaccine research.
In 2016, Dr. Nguyen joined IGY Immune Technologies & Life Sciences as Chief Scientific Officer. At IGY LS, he has led the development of antibodies for prophylaxis and therapy of infectious diseases, autoimmunity, inflammation, and cancer. His team has created patentable technologies including broadly protective avian IgY antibodies against rotavirus and influenza.
Dr. Nguyen has maintained academic ties as an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University since 2017. He has authored over 80 publications, including original research articles, reviews, and book chapters in prestigious journals such as Journal of Virology, PLOS One, and Expert Review of Vaccines. In 2008, Dr. Nguyen received the prestigious Gates Foundation Grand Challenge Award to explore universal influenza vaccines and antibodies. He is an active member of several professional societies including the American Association of Immunologists and serves as an expert reviewer for major funding agencies and journals in his field.
Dr. Paul Kilgore, M.P.H., M.D.
Professor at Wayne State University
Dr. Kilgore is a distinguished epidemiologist with over 27 years of expertise in vaccine and immunization research: Epidemiology and translational research in infectious diseases. His focus has been working in underserved countries to bring innovative practices including rapid disease diagnosis and evidenced-based interventions. His research is in close cooperation with community partners, non-governmental stakeholders, faith-based organizations, public health and other technical experts. His focus at IGY Life Sciences is to aid in the clinical development of human studies for Rotavirus IgY applications in children and to support the efforts of grant writing for the Universal IgY Influenza Research project.
